I got a text from Danilo saying that he was interested in sending something to his friend in Brazil. He first heard about YYZGRU Express through a common acquaintance who I met at CAIS. After exchanging a few SMS, we arranged the pick up for late in the afternoon. When I arrived at his place, the gifts were ready and the table was set with cups and spoons. “You are not in a rush? Wanna have some coffee?” Sure, I replied.
I truly enjoy working for YYZGRU Express since it is the only mail delivery organization that not only allows these encounters, but also encourages its employers to hang out with customers.
Danilo is sending a handwritten letter, a key holder from Toronto and a pocket notebook to a very close friend in Sao Paulo. We had a really nice conversation in which we focused on the act of writing, communication patterns, and the transition from hand writing correspondence to social media. Here is the full podcast.
